The stage is being set up at Wells Fargo Arena. Sound check is about to begin – and the game will kick off at 4! Looking forward to seeing you!

Register to help Haiti with Meals from the Heartland

As you may know, Meals from the Heartland has been working hard to put together a meal packaging event to help the Haiti relief effort. They have now opened up the online registration, and you can sign up to serve in a variety of ways!

The Help for Haiti packaging event will take place February 22-23 and 25-27. During that week they will package as many meals as possible. It will be at:

They are looking for:

Supply Station/Dock Volunteers – responsible for preparing food materials for delivery to the packaging table; opening bags and filling bins, loading bins on manual transports, and stocking packaging areas as needed. Maintaining a clean, organized work area, cleaning and re-stocking packaging areas between shifts. Volunteers trained on location for their shift. Physical requirements: safely lift 52 lbs bags, operate a box knife. Standard shift = 3 hours.

Training/Staging Hosts – responsible for guiding volunteers to the training area, answering basic packaging and program questions, organizing volunteers in groups of 8-10, refilling supplies (hats, gloves and hand sanitizer) and maintaining order in the training and staging areas. Must be able to attend pre-event training, minimum shift commitment of 3 hours.

Packaging Supervisors - responsible for supervision of general volunteers manning their assigned packaging stations, for maintaining order in their area of responsibility and working with event Volunteer Training/Staging Volunteers to ensure areas are adequately staffed. Must be able to attend pre-event training, minimum shift commitment of 3 hours, volunteers will be provided distinctive hat upon arrival at the venue.

Event Hosts – responsible for greeting and checking in volunteers, answering general questions about the event and community, assisting general volunteers in selecting a volunteer activity and directing general volunteers to orientation areas. Must be able to attend pre-event training, minimum shift commitment of 3.5 hours.

Donations Hosts – responsible for receiving, organizing and packaging canned food and school supply donations from volunteers. Minimum shift commitment of 3.5 hours.

Set up and Tear Down Volunteers - responsible for set up and/or break down of stations, and duties as assigned to get production running and clean out. Physical requirements: safely lift 52 lbs and move about with ease. Standard shift = 4 hours.

Super Easy Superbowl Recipe

Honey-Pineapple Chicken Wings

3 lb chicken wings or (drummys)
1 12oz cubed pineapple
1tsp minced garlic
½ tsp black pepper
1 cup Honey
½ cup soy sauce
¼ tsp cumin

Cut the chicken wings in to 3 pics at the knuckle the tip save in a bag to make chicken stock later.

Combine in a bowl the can of pineapple, garlic, honey, soy sauce black pepper and Cumin

Put chicken in crock pot on high for 3½ to 4 hours.
