A Note from Life 107.1
Sometimes life takes an unexpected turn, and we find ourselves in a situation we hadn’t anticipated. Some of those detours take us to beautiful places: an unexpected promotion, falling in love or the arrival of a long-awaited child.
But other turns take us down paths we wouldn’t have chosen. Unemployment, health issues, strained relationships, loss of a loved one, shattered dreams, wounded hearts—the list could go on and on.
At Life 107.1 / 96.1, we know life can be tough. That’s why we are committed to being a place where you and others throughout Des Moines, Ames, and central Iowa can always turn for an uplifting reminder that God is in control and that He is with you no matter what you’re facing.
Recently we heard from a man who received just that kind of help from our broadcasts. Robert is going through a tough time. His wife of 36 years left him, and he’s hurting.
“I so need the encouragement your songs and on-air personalities provide. I’ve made use of your PrayerWorks page in the last two weeks, and [I] have been blessed to have folks praying for me. You have no idea how much [this station] means to me! Like so many others [say] on your station, there are times when I turn it on, and the song that’s currently playing, or the next one, is what God knew I needed to hear.”
Like Robert said, he’s not the only one being blessed by Life 107.1. We hear from people every week who tell us how much God has blessed them or helped them bless others through this ministry.
But being a blessing to so many requires a team effort. To continue making a difference in the everyday lives of everyday people like Robert, we need your help.
Even though we reached the pledge goal, some partners have been unable to fulfill their pledge commitment this year because of job losses, home foreclosures and other financial hardships.
